Knowledge Sharing 

Knowledge sharing aims to create opportunities for water sector professionals to access and exchange information within and among countries in the region and beyond. A variety of options are offered including major annual conferences, study tours, online webinars, and the Voice of the Danube webspace.   

Annual Regional Event 

The bi-annual Danube Water Conference (DWC) & Danube Water Forum (DWF) have become signature events for the Program and the Danube region and rotate on a yearly basis. While the DWC is hosted in Vienna (Austria), the DWF is organized in the region with the support of a partner institution. Both events serve as an international platform convening sector professionals from the Danube region and beyond to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities in the Danube region water sector. The cross-sectoral and inter-country dialogue created by this annual gathering has been instrumental to create a sense of community, to help professionals in the sector to build and maintain relationships, and to understand the emerging needs and concerns of the water sector and beyond. 

Communication and Outreach 

Launched in 2021, The DWP KnowNow Webinar Series covers relevant topics on demand. Each webinar spans 75 minutes with a key expert presentation on a followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
