The workshop will bring together the leading utilities from the Danube region to analyse and discuss current performance of utilities in the region, performance improvement options, and especially how cooperation between utilities and local governments can be improved toward even better water and sanitation services. In that regard, IAWD is further developing its cooperation with NALAS, the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South East Europe.

The workshop is mainly intended for 1) benchmarking teams of water and sanitation utilities which are members of the Danube Hub for utility benchmarking and for 2) other utilities from the Danube region that are considering joining the Danube Hub for utility benchmarking.

In addition, representatives of local authorities, utility associations, international organizations and other stakeholders, which actively contribute to performance improvement of utilities in the region, are invited to join the workshop.
