The 2019 Danube Water Conference on “Achieving resilience in water and wastewater utilities in the Danube Region” will be held on May 20-21 (with business meetings on May 22), 2019 in Vienna, Austria. The 2019 Danube Water Conference is organized by the Danube Water Program (IAWD and World Bank) with funding from the Austrian Government. The conference will bring together more than 150 senior water sector representatives from more than 15 countries to discuss the progress, challenges and the required future actions to achieve resilient water and sanitation services for all in the Danube region. It will look at how an efficient, well-performing and capacitated sector not only results in the delivery of good quality services but also in a sector that is inherently more resilient to future shocks. The conference will not only focus on the water and sanitation services side but (through some sessions) will also encourage participants to consider the wider water resources sector in their operations.
