The Danube Water Program KnowNow webinar series focuses on up-to-date topics relevant for the water sector in the Danube region.

This webinar will highlight the results of the evaluation and potential revision of the EU Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD, Directive 91/271/EEC). The UWWTD is a central pillar of waste water services in Europe and has successfully created a level playing field for environmental standards and economic investment by setting baseline requirements for urban waste water treatment.

The learning objective of this webinar is to increase the understanding and knowledge around the results of the evaluation and potential revision of the EU Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive and the relevance of the ongoing process for the water sector of the Member States as well as candidate and potential candidate countries.
