Although South-East Europe (SEE) has traditionally been spared the challenges of severe water scarcity and drought, there is a growing trend of concern. Some areas are experiencing persistent water scarcity and droughts are becoming more frequent.
A project by REKK has examined the likely impacts of climate change trends on water resources in different sub-regions over the coming decades and identified the most appropriate and promising adaptation and mitigation measures among several options.
The results are summarised in a handbook. The workshop will present the manual, share key findings and provide an opportunity to discuss conclusions and recommendations.
