The Danube Water Program “KnowNow” webinar series focuses on up-to-date topics relevant for the water sector in the Danube region.

As the climate crisis is accelerating, prolonged heatwaves and droughts are intensifying in the Danube region. Understanding the growing risk of water scarcity and droughts on water supply is key to increase the resilience of utilities and service delivery.

The webinar will present the results of an assessment for quantifying present-day and future drought risk at a utility scale in the Danube region and illustrate two case studies, the utilities of Timisoara and Athens, and how they handle the impact of water scarcity and droughts on their services.
