UBP Hub Kosovo & Albania to visit Sofia, Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Water Association (BWA) hosted a working meeting within the Benchmarking Project, Benchmarking HUB of Kosovo and Albania. This event was closed on 30 May 2018 at the University of Architecture, Construction Engineering and Geodesy. Present were a total of 19 representatives from Albania and Kosovo. In the framework of the visit was organized a seminar and a visit to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sofia - Water Supply Kubratovo. In the first part of the meeting, the chairman of BWA eng. Ivan Ivanov briefly presented the activity of the Association and shortly explained about the current situation in the water sector in Bulgaria. A summary of the data collected by the Bulgarian WSS operators was presented by Miroslav Mitkov - Benchmarking Project Manager. Guests also showed their experience as well as asked numerous questions about the presentations.

In the second part of the visit, the capital water operator Sofiyska voda AD in cooperation with BWA organized a visit to the largest WWTP in the Balkans with a short explanation and a one-hour review of all equipment in the technology scheme.
