The first Danube Water Forum runs from 27 to 29 October 2020, covers a very hot theme – and you don't need to get up from your chair to be there. Registration is now open - to attend free of charge, just follow the link at the end of this text and register.
To ensure the safety of participants and speakers in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the First Danube Water Forum will be held as a three-day series of afternoon online webinars. Originally scheduled to take place as a live event in Banja Luka, the Forum deals with “The Importance of Water Sector Data in the Digital Age”, discussing the gathering of and working with data as an indispensable basis for smart policies, strong utilities and sustainable services in the Danube region.
The participation of prominent keynote speakers like European Commission´s Senior Expert Joachim D'Eugenio emphasizes the importance of this theme: Efficient, systematic data collection and processing to support policy and business decisions, formerly a recommendable practice, has become a matter of survival for so many enterprises, industries, communities, and, indeed, whole regions.
The Danube Water Program, run by IAWD and the World Bank, and the City of Banja Luka invite you to attend this important event free of charge every afternoon from 27 to 29 October, from 13.30 h until 16.15h CET.
