Save the date: February 18th, 13:30 CET. Attend a highly informative 75 minute webinar on the revised EU Drinking Water Directive – the first event of the Danube Water Program KnowNow webinar series.

Encouraged by the success of last year's COVID crisis response webinars, the Danube Water Program has introduced the compact KnowNow webinar series with focus on topics relevant for the water sector in the Danube region.

The first edition will treat the revised EU Drinking Water Directive 2020/2184. In force since January 2021, the Directive promotes better access to high quality water for human consumption, including for vulnerable groups. It is the EU's response to the demands of the over 1.8 million Europeans who signed the first-ever successful European Citizens' Initiative, “Right2Water”, in support of improving access to safe drinking water for all Europeans.

A high-ranking representative of the European Commission will join the panelists to discuss the Directive and its impact on the water service sector of member states as well as candidate and potential candidate countries.

Access to this 75-minute webinar is free. Attending is highly recommended for everybody with interests in the future of the region's water service sector.
