Preparations are in full swing: The 2024 Danube Water Forum will convene on 29 – 30 May, 2024 in beautiful Brasov in Transylvania, back-to-back with a Board meeting of the International Water Association (IWA) as well as the Utility Benchmarking Program Danube Hub workshop and a number of Business meetings.
Themed “Riding the wave: Water Sector Innovations for a new Climate Reality,” the Forum will discuss the impact of a changing climate on the Danube region’s water sector, exploring recent developments, their effects on utilities, and sharing best practice examples for successful response strategies.
The Forum is organized by the Danube Water Program, and for the first time in cooperation with the new Utility of the Future – Center of Excellence initiative by the World Bank.
Merited IAWD members Compania Apa Brasov and ARA, the Romanian Water Association, will be our hosts, promising excellent organization and warm hospitality in a city with rich history, amazing sights and beautiful surroundings that are well worth an extended trip if you can make time.
Just one widely popular example: Bran, the castle of legendary Vlad Dracul, the original Count Dracula, is situated a short 25 Kilometers from the conference venue.
