Yes, registration is still open, but the clock is ticking audibly. It is now three short weeks until the kickoff of the 2024 Danube Water Forum.
The event titled "Riding the wave: Water Sector Innovations for a new Climate Reality" will happen in Brasov, Romania on 29 and 30 May, and beyond offering distinguished speakers, excellent content, and great hospitality, it is bound to be the youngest Danube Water Forum ever. Here's why:

Those who attended last year's Danube Water Conference in Vienna will remember the large share of fresh faces, both in the audience and on the podium, thanks to the organizers' commitment to support, motivate and promote the next generation, expressed in an MoU between IAWD and the International Water Association to support Young Water Professionals (YWP) in the Danube region.

This is not only a commitment to fairness and inclusion, it is also in the best interest of a water sector that is in an uphill fight, competing with other sectors for young talent. Tapping into the worldwide YWP net is a win-win, and the large attendance, dedicated collaboration, and sometimes emotional feedback that the 2023 DWC got from these young people was seriously encouraging.

Encouraging enough, in fact, to turn to potential supporters – and succeed: Determined to bring as many Young Water Professionals as possible to the Forum, IAWD has entered a cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management. Appreciating the value of IAWD's youth agenda, the Ministry has provided the necessary funds to finance participation in the 2024 DWF, including travel and accommodation, for twelve Young Water Professionals from everywhere in the region.

Join us in Brasov and meet them, both  onstage as session co-chairs or during their poster presentations as well behind the scenes helping out the Danube Water Program team to ensure a smooth conference.
