No joke. No fake. No strings attached. On June 11th, there will be a random draw for a full Conference Packages for the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Toronto, Canada, on 11th to 15th August - means full cost-free participation for the lucky winner: The Package includes air travel to Toronto, transfer from airport to conference venue, hotel coverage for the time of the conference, and the full conference fee. All you need to do is, well, win.
How? By joining NewIBNET and taking part in its Data Pioneer Program. NewIBNET, the International Benchmarking Network for Water and Sanitation Utilities, recently launched the initiative “2024 Data Pioneers in Water Utilities: Learning at Toronto”, offering water and sanitation utilities and associations of utilities not only their data services, but also the chance to win the above-mentioned conference packages.
The good news is that the Danube Water Program has topped up the existing initiative with another three Conference Packages dedicated to the Danube region only!
The call to participate goes out to utilities in the eleven DWP target countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine.
The deadline is midnight, June 7th, and you better start today, because there is work involved: To participate in the draw, water and sanitation Utilities must submit complete and coherent datasets on their performance and must fill out a self-assessment of their management practices.
Associations of water and sanitation utilities can also enter the draw by mobilizing a major share of their member utilities. If you already have entered the program, relax. If you haven't, get going now.
